Can we keep everything we catch?
Yes! You can keep your catch as long as your catch is within FWC Guidelines and Regulations. You can check out information from the FWC HERE.
At Panhandle Fishing Charters, we do promote catch and release charters to better help our fishing industry thrive – ask about our discounted catch and release trips!
What should we bring?
Your lucky cap! We recommend snacks, drinks, hats, no-spray sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses. We also recommend a small cooler in the back of your vehicle to take your fish filets with you.
No need to bring your cooler aboard the vessel—we have a large cooler aboard that you can stow your snacks and drinks in and we’ll return them after your charter. Please no black-soled shoes.
Is alcohol allowed on board?
Yes! We just ask that there are no glass bottles aboard.
What will we catch?
Depending on the season, Cobia, King Mackerel, Tarpon, Red Snapper, Black Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Trigger Fish, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, occasional Grouper and Shark.
What items are included in your charter prices?
For all trips aboard our boat, we include bait, tackle, rods, reels, ice, cleaning of the fish, and your fishing licenses. For bow fishing charters, we supply bows and arrows.
Is it safe for my children?
YES! Our captains adhere to the utmost safety of you and your family. Each captain has all United States Coast Guard credentials and are CPR Certified. Capt. Joey’s oldest has been out in the Gulf of Mexico since the age of 2 reeling up bait and catching snapper! We will NOT go out into the Gulf of Mexico if the tidal conditions are unsafe.
What's your cancellation policy?
Shall the weather and/or water not be suitable for a gulf fishing charter, all booked charters will be bay fishing charters. The trip will not be cancelled. Cancellation is at the discretion of the captain and/or owner. All cancellations MUST be made 10 days prior to your fishing charter. Any amount of time less than this may result in a 50% charge to your credit card. Anything less than 24 hours notice or a no show the day of the charter, you WILL be charged 100% of your charter price.
